Welcome to North Somerset Modellers Society

The North Somerset Modellers are a diverse group of model makers with very varied range of interests.

Amongst our members you will find kindred spirits covering every aspect of model making.

We have been a very successful member of the IPMS and have achieved recognition at local, national and international IPMS venues. See our diary page for some forthcoming venues where the club will be exhibiting.

Some of our members enjoy competitions and showing their projects, while other prefer to be more in the background. We have gained a reputation for having fun with our model making while accommodating the needs of all our members from ‘rivet counters’ to the more casual model maker.

The range of subjects and experience means you will always find someone who can help with advice or information. These are some of the areas we cover:

Aircraft from all periods of history, armored military vehicles & soft skins, civil aviation, commercial and civilian vehicles, figurines, flat tin figures, science fiction & fantasy, real space, film & television, buildings & scenery. Whether it’s ‘straight from the box’ or fully scratch-built all styles and preferences are catered for. Our sense of fun is legendary amongst the IPMS clubs; once seen, who can forget the ‘Red Sparrows’

Some of our members are avid collectors of model kits and can help to identify and source rare kits from major and minor suppliers.
